We were honoured to have the Commissioner of Resilience NSW accept a Willo cricket bat at The Bradman Museum & International Cricket Hall of Fame on the 7th October. Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons is all and everything we had come to know as the face of the 2020 fires. Honest, genuine, kind and humble. The bat we gifted was the “Fireman” painted by Kimberley Abbott and her sister Jenna Abbott from Cricket NSW her mum Sharon and firefighting uncle Jim joined us to hand the bat over. Our great friend Ralph Kelly from the Stay Kind Movement was with us and Willo Board member Paul Hannigan. It was truly a wonderful day. The best moment was seeing Will. Seeing him being acknowledged for the inspiration that he is with communities across Australia.
