Dylan Macintosh

Shepparton artist Dylan McIntosh wants his love for his country to shine through his works of art, which reflect in his creations of the native animals that inhabit our land. Dylan said his tributes to his country often shone through his work, which attracted people to it. ‘‘Most of my art has pretty strong Australiana themes. I have an interest in Australian history and culture and I’m proud of my heritage. I have a real appreciation for Aussie larrikinism and how Australians have a tendency to champion the battler and the underdog. I want my art to show that you can be proud of your country and be patriotic without being racist or bigoted. Art can act as a means of communication. Sometimes we have feelings or thoughts that are difficult to articulate verbally or through writing and art can assist us to express these.’’
