I live in Sultana Point and have always liked craft, have dabbled in quite a few.
I studied and gained a Fibre Certificate while the children were young which covered design, drawing and appreciation of art. I enjoy spinning, knitting, weaving and crocheting, I find this very relaxing. I’ve branched out into lead-lighting, pottery, quilting and later mosaics. I came forward with the ideas of mosaics on the rocks at Edithburgh of which there are 93 along the walk the Yorke path (Edithburgh to Sultana Point). I enjoyed showing residents how to mosaic, come up with a design and have it included in the walk. Futher community mosaic works include around Weaners Flat lake (via Yorketown Progress Assoc) and another work at Edithburgh with Terry Braund. I find it very rewarding sharing my skills and letting others enjoy the results. It is a pleasure to be a part of Bats for Will, a very good cause.
