I grew up in Melbourne studied Interior Design at RMIT and left for Perth in 1970.
In Perth I worked in Architecture and Interior design in a number of Architectural
Practices up until my Retirement in 2007. During that time I studied drawing and painting both at Perth Technical College and Perth Modern School concentrating on charcoal drawings, Acrylics and water colour painting as a hobby.
In the early 2000’s I joined the Pastel Society encouraged by having attended one of their Annual Art Exhibition’s and was very impressed by the work
done by the Artists. I had not had any experience with this Medium and saw
it not only as a challenge but just loved the look of the Pastel paintings. More recently I have taken up using Acrylics and done a little mixed media which
I’m enjoying. My painting on the Cricket bat is the first one done in Acrylic for
Some time and the start of more to come this year.
