Rebecca Rose Adlington

I couldn’t think of a better portrait to paint on a cricket bat than of Test great, David Boon. Growing up, my mum was ‘in love’ with Boonie. We even had Buttercup stickers on our fridge with his face on it! I’ve painted the portrait of many cricketers but Boonie holds a special place for me. The portrait, painted in acrylics, shows the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame inductee in his baggy green cap and the rear has been painted to show Boonies signature Gray Nicolls brand that he played with during his career.
