Penny Sadubin

I was inspired to create my own Willow Pattern, depicting a scene inspired by features, flora and fauna of Kiama on the cricket bat by thinking about the incongruous traditions of Cricket, which is much unlike other sports. In fact, the only International sport where food breaks are a part of the game. To think of players stopping for tea is quite whimsical and although this would be assumed to be part of the inherent Englishness of the game, taking tea apparently dates back to an early Ashes Australia and was then imported to England.
