I have always been fascinated by the cricket term “to bowl a maiden” so this was a bit of a tongue in cheek view and inspiration for painting the “Maidens” magpies on the bat. A view of Kiama’s Surf beach and the iconic pine trees are also included in the piece. I loved painting the bat and the whole idea and concept of what Will is doing with these bats I find very inspiring. Thank you for the opportunity.
