Based in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Australia, Corinne has enjoyed life in the Highlands with her husband David Petrola and two children for the last 21 years. Since 2017, Corinne has made the gradual transition from Family Portrait Photographer to full-time Artist, initially being the first Artist-in-Residence at the popular vintage shopping precinct of Dirty Janes Bowral. After a very successful solo show at the Milk Factory Gallery called ‘April Hares (Less mad than March hares)’, Corinne was invited to become the gallery’s own Artist-in-Residence where you can see her paint most weekdays. ” So why did I paint a Hare .. well, I have encountered many animals in my 21 years in the Highlands. owls, roos, deer, foxes, wombats and echidnas! the works! I am told there are hares here. I have always loved hares. They seem cheeky, qwirky, and a little nuts! The perfect mix!”
One day I’ll spot one and I’m convinced it will say peek a boo to me!”.
